A Future for the Past: Talks

The exhibition “A Future for the Pas” focuses on the people behind traditional marble craftsmanship and contemporary design. For this reason, the opening of the exhibition is preceded on the early evening of June 4th at 5:30pm, with a talks programme featuring the backbone characters in this creative industry: from Tinian marble sculptors to internationally acclaimed art and design curators.

Through the speakers' stories, it is hoped that the allure of marble, both tangible and intangible, will inspire new creators and motivate experienced ones to continue this art in an imaginative and innovative way. The idea of the exhibition “A Future for the Past,” which for the first time in Greece showcases the convergence of local and international, traditional and contemporary, is extending to our talks programme. Via this we invite established curators, art critics, and designers from across the spectrum of contemporary marble sculpture to a cross-disciplinary dialogue, actively influencing the relationship between design and craftsmanship today
